**Trader sentiment for Beijing's September 21 highest temperature centers on official forecasts projecting a high near 29–31°C under mostly sunny skies and light southerly winds.** Chinese Meteorological Administration guidance and multiple models indicate clearing conditions after recent multi-cloud periods with scattered light rain, allowing stronger daytime heating. Southerly flow advects warmer air from lower latitudes across the North China Plain while low humidity (around 40–60% daytime) and minimal cloud cover support peak readings in the upper range. The close spread between 31°C (40.5% implied probability) and 30°C (36.5%) reflects minor model differences in maximum temperature tied to exact timing of any residual cloudiness, wind shifts, or urban heat-island amplification in central Beijing. A 29°C outcome (17.5%) would require more persistent cloud cover or a quicker northerly wind change than currently favored. Historical September baselines for the city (typical highs 25–28°C) place the current setup slightly above average, consistent with the market's emphasis on the upper 20s to low 30s. Updated model runs and official briefings on the 20th and 21st remain the key near-term catalysts.

The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=zbaa
If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source.
In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket.
To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C.
This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first.
The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
