**Latest forecasts for Panama City, Panama, point to a daily maximum near 30–32 °C on 12 September 2026, consistent with the market’s heavy weighting toward 32 °C (54 %) and 31 °C (24.5 %).** September falls in the peak of the rainy season when the Intertropical Convergence Zone brings frequent afternoon convection; scattered showers and high humidity (typically 80–90 %) usually cap daytime heating, keeping averages around the long-term 30 °C September high. Current model guidance shows modest cloud cover and only a 35 % rain chance, allowing enough insolation for temperatures to reach or slightly exceed the seasonal norm. Sea-surface temperatures near 29 °C supply ample moisture and latent heat, while light trade-wind flow limits rapid mixing. Any stronger or earlier convection today would suppress the peak toward 30 °C or below, explaining the smaller but non-zero probabilities for those outcomes. Updated National Meteorological Service or global model runs expected later in the day remain the key near-term catalyst for further shifts in implied probabilities.

The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=mpmg
If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source.
In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket.
To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C.
This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first.
The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
