Kevin Hart’s comedy *72 Hours* currently anchors the Netflix top spot with 22–25 million views in recent weeks, fueled by strong word-of-mouth and its broad appeal as a raucous Gen Z–targeted party film. Fresh August releases including the supernatural thriller *The Last House* (Aug. 7) and anime feature *The Ribbon Hero* (Aug. 8) introduce new competition that could either lift overall platform engagement or fragment audience attention. Traders watch Netflix’s official weekly charts and Tudum reports closely, as big-name launches historically push the leader past 20 million views while holdovers like *KPop Demon Hunters* or *Swapped* provide steady baselines. Late-week marketing pushes or viral moments remain key swing factors before the chart locks.
