Recent National Weather Service guidance points to an overnight low near 53°F for Seattle on September 11, driven by southerly flow and a persistent marine layer that limits nighttime radiative cooling. This places the most likely outcome in the 52–55°F range amid ongoing onshore winds and possible light drizzle. Model consensus remains moderate because small shifts in cloud cover, wind speed, or marine air depth can swing the minimum by several degrees—clearer skies promote greater cooling while thicker stratus or stronger mixing raises it. Historical September 11 lows average 53.9°F with a record low of 40°F, underscoring the narrow window between typical conditions and the extreme tails currently priced near even odds by traders. Updated forecast discussions and evening model runs will provide the next key data points before resolution.
