Recent Missouri Supreme Court rulings have certified a November 3, 2026, veto referendum on the 2025 Republican-drawn congressional map (HB 1), blocking its use unless voters approve it and reverting to 2022 lines for the general election. The secretary of state certified the measure after initial resistance, following over 300,000 signatures gathered by opponents and a unanimous state high court decision rejecting arguments that redistricting falls outside referendum powers. U.S. Supreme Court denial of a stay request and conflicting federal district court orders add procedural uncertainty. Traders assign "No" a 58.5% implied probability, consistent with Missouri's historical pattern of voters rejecting legislative redistricting plans via referendum in most prior cases.
