Recent polling in Wisconsin's 3rd congressional district shows Democratic nominee Rebecca Cooke maintaining a narrow edge over incumbent Republican Derrick Van Orden in head-to-head general election matchups, with margins around 50-46 percent in surveys conducted through June 2026. Cooke secured the Democratic nomination on August 11 after a primary victory fueled by substantial fundraising and national party support, setting up a rematch of the close 2024 contest. The district's R+3 partisan voting index and history of narrow Republican holds contribute to its toss-up status, yet trader consensus reflects Democratic advantages in recent surveys and candidate resources ahead of the November 2026 election. Ongoing campaign dynamics, including turnout patterns and any shifts in national conditions, remain key variables that could influence final outcomes.

A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.

If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
