Trader sentiment on X Money's early public access launch reflects caution amid delays from Elon Musk's March 10 announcement targeting April, with the platform still confined to wider closed beta testing as of mid-May 2026. Beta users report compelling features like peer-to-peer transfers, Visa-backed debit cards with 3% cashback, up to 6% APY on savings, and QR-code payments, positioning X as a Venmo and Cash App rival in the everything-app race after securing money transmitter licenses in 40 states. Senator Elizabeth Warren's April letters demanding transparency on consumer risks, stablecoin plans, and oversight gaps have heightened regulatory scrutiny, while product chief Nikita Bier's crypto teases hint at expansions. Key catalysts include beta feedback integration and full open access announcement before month-end, potentially accelerating adoption among X's 600 million users.
