The Zacatecas gubernatorial race remains highly fragmented a year ahead of the 2027 vote, with trader probabilities spread across more than two dozen named contenders and no single candidate exceeding 28 percent implied odds. Recent polling from mid-2026 shows Morena-aligned figures such as Ulises Mejía Haro holding the strongest internal-party preference, yet opposition candidates including Geovanna Bañuelos, José Narro Céspedes, and Verónica Díaz Robles retain measurable support in broader surveys. Nomination processes within major parties have not concluded, leaving room for shifts in alliances, candidate withdrawals, or late surges driven by state-level economic concerns and federal political currents. This early-stage dispersion keeps the field open, with any decisive separation likely to follow primary resolutions or major coalition announcements in the coming months.
