Mercedes leads the 2026 Constructors’ Championship by a wide margin thanks to consistent front-running pace from the W17 and strong combined results from Kimi Antonelli and George Russell across the opening 14 rounds. The team has secured the majority of race wins and podiums while rivals have been unable to match its qualifying and race pace under the new power-unit and aerodynamic regulations. Ferrari, McLaren, and Red Bull trail by 145 points or more and would require an unprecedented run of results plus repeated Mercedes setbacks to close the gap with roughly nine rounds remaining. Late-season reliability problems or a sudden performance shift from a competitor represent the only realistic paths to altering the outcome.
