Rick Allen, the Republican incumbent, holds a commanding position in Georgia’s 12th congressional district ahead of the November 3, 2026 general election. Ceretta Smith secured the Democratic nomination after winning her party’s June 16 primary runoff, leaving a head-to-head matchup between a well-funded sitting member and a challenger in a district that has favored Republicans by double-digit margins in recent cycles. With no third-party candidates or independent movements gaining traction and Allen’s reelection bid unopposed in the Republican primary, traders see little prospect of a fragmented vote preventing an outright majority. The 94.5 percent implied probability for an outright winner reflects this structural advantage, consistent with historical performance in similarly rated Georgia districts.
