Trader sentiment for July 2026 JOLTS job openings shows closely contested probabilities centered on the 7.1–7.5 million range, reflecting mixed signals in labor market cooling. Recent nonfarm payrolls and unemployment rate data have indicated moderating hiring demand, while inflation trends and Fed communications continue to shape expectations for further policy easing. Market-implied odds incorporate uncertainty around seasonal factors and revisions to prior months, with traders pricing in the balance between resilient consumer spending and softening employment indicators. Upcoming August employment releases and the next FOMC meeting remain key catalysts that could adjust consensus ahead of the JOLTS publication.
