**Trader sentiment on the Mega Charizard Y ex price market reflects ongoing supply pressure from the 2026 Ascended Heroes set.** The hyper-rare and standard versions have already posted sharp declines this summer, with one prominent variant dropping more than $100 in July alone as fresh product flooded the market and sales volume failed to keep pace. Increased availability from booster boxes, tins, and promos released earlier in the year continues to expand the float, creating a classic post-launch correction pattern common in Pokémon TCG. With no major new hype, competitive meta shifts, or limited-run restocks announced before the August 31 cutoff, traders see little near-term catalyst to reverse the downward trajectory. Historical precedent for similar chase cards from recent mega-evolution sets shows prices often stabilize only after the initial wave of openings subsides, supporting the current 69.5% implied probability of further softening by month-end.
