Mercedes maintains a commanding lead in the 2026 Formula One Constructors' Championship after securing victories in the opening rounds, fueled by strong showings from Kimi Antonelli and George Russell. The Silver Arrows' superior power unit and overall package under the new regulations have delivered consistent points hauls, creating a sizable gap over Ferrari and McLaren. Those squads show occasional pace in qualifying or cornering but lack the sustained race pace to close the margin quickly. Red Bull and the midfield teams continue to fight reliability and development issues, limiting their title hopes. This early-season form underpins the current trader consensus on Mercedes extending their advantage through the campaign.
