Recent National Weather Service and private model guidance for Denver on September 2 points to mostly sunny skies, light southeast winds, and a high-pressure ridge supporting afternoon temperatures in the upper 80s to low 90s, with ensemble peaks near 88–90 °F. This range sits close to the long-term average high of 84 °F yet reflects warmer-than-normal late-summer conditions without significant cloud cover or moisture advection to suppress maxima. Minor model spread around peak heating timing and boundary-layer mixing keeps the two leading bins nearly tied, while lower-probability outcomes would require unexpected early convection or stronger northerly flow—developments not currently indicated in official forecasts. Updated model runs and NWS afternoon discussions will refine the exact maximum before market resolution.
