The resolution source for this market will be information from Wunderground, specifically the highest temperature recorded for all times on this day for the Shanghai Pudong International Airport Station, available here: https://www.wunderground.com/history/daily/cn/shanghai/ZSPD. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the gear icon next to the search bar and switch the Temperature setting between °F and °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Latest model consensus points to a highest temperature of 27–28°C in Shanghai on June 29, 2026, as the market reflects.** Persistent cloud cover and scattered showers associated with the East Asian monsoon (Meiyu/plum rain pattern) are limiting daytime solar insolation and suppressing maximum temperatures below typical late-June clear-sky values near 30–32°C. Numerical weather prediction runs from global models show modest differences in timing and coverage of these clouds, creating the narrow spread between the 27°C and 28°C bins that together hold over 60% implied probability. A drier, sunnier window would allow additional surface heating and push readings toward 29°C or higher, while heavier or more prolonged precipitation could cap the day at 26°C or below. Official forecasts issued by the China Meteorological Administration and international centers over the next 48 hours will refine these variables and determine final resolution.
