This market will resolve to the player who wins the Young Player Award for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by FIFA rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 FIFA World Cup is cancelled, postponed after August 2, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from FIFA; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The World Cup Young Player Award market stays tightly contested because the expanded 48-team tournament has yet to begin, leaving trader consensus split among several eligible under-21 talents whose final performances will determine the winner. Lamine Yamal holds the edge from his Euro 2024 heroics and strong recent club form with Barcelona, yet Désiré Doué’s momentum from PSG’s Champions League success and a deep French squad keeps pressure close behind, while prospects such as Kenan Yıldız, Nico O’Reilly, Warren Zaïre-Emery, Endrick, and Arda Güler sit within striking distance. A standout run of goals, assists, or defensive contributions in the group stage or knockouts—especially for players on favored teams—could rapidly widen gaps, as could any high-profile injury setbacks before kickoff.
