The 2026-27 Primeira Liga runner-up market sits in an unusually tight cluster because pre-season preparations have left several clubs with comparable squad depth, managerial continuity, and summer transfer momentum heading into the campaign. Sporting CP, Benfica, and Porto retain strong implied positioning from their established attacking options and defensive organization, yet Braga, Vitória de Guimarães, and Famalicão sit alongside them after posting consistent recent domestic results and avoiding major roster disruption. League-wide factors such as fixture congestion, potential European distractions, and the impact of new signings on key positions keep outcomes fluid, with no side holding a decisive edge that traders have priced in ahead of the opening matches.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Primeira Liga for the 2026-27 season per the rules of Primeira Liga (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the Primeira Liga; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
