The high-speed Autodromo Nazionale layout favors strong straight-line speed and power-unit efficiency, areas where both Mercedes and Ferrari have shown strength, giving Antonelli, George Russell, Lewis Hamilton, and Charles Leclerc realistic podium prospects. Recent Dutch GP sprint results highlighted Russell’s pace while Hamilton and Leclerc continue closing the gap from the constructors’ battle. Track-specific factors such as tire degradation on the long straights, low-downforce setups, and potential late-season upgrades will shape qualifying and race-day order, with home-crowd momentum adding intangible pressure on the Italian frontrunners.
