The Circuit Gilles Villeneuve's narrow chicanes, unforgiving barriers, and high-speed braking zones at the hairpin and final turns have historically triggered safety car deployments more frequently than most venues on the calendar. Recent seasons, including multiple interventions in 2025 amid changeable conditions and driver errors, reinforce this pattern, while 2026 regulatory tweaks addressing closing speeds and wet-weather visibility have not altered the track's core demands. Traders price Yes at 68% to reflect the consistent risk of lockups, contact, or weather-related incidents at this street-style layout, where even minor mistakes often force neutralizations regardless of the new car specifications.
