Casper Ruud enters the Geneva Open round of 32 on red clay as the clear favorite against Jenson Brooksby, driven by his superior ranking, proven clay-court game, and strong historical results at the tournament where he has claimed multiple titles. Brooksby, ranked outside the top 60, has shown flashes of form in Madrid with aggressive baseline play but carries a mixed 2026 record and limited recent success on clay. Their head-to-head stands even at 1-1, yet Ruud’s greater experience in high-stakes ATP 250 events and consistent depth from the baseline create a matchup advantage. Recent scheduling factors, including Ruud’s preparation coming off European clay swing events, further tilt sentiment toward the Norwegian while highlighting Brooksby’s need for an upset to advance.
