Broadcasters have until mid-October 2026 to finalize entries for the Eurovision Song Contest 2027 in Burgas, Bulgaria, where roughly 25 countries have already confirmed participation. Canada’s debut as the first EBU member from the Americas and North Macedonia’s return after a four-year absence stand out as key momentum drivers, alongside Australia’s renewed commitment and Montenegro’s latest confirmation. Geopolitical tensions continue to shape decisions, with the Netherlands maintaining its boycott over contest neutrality and Belgium’s VRT receiving an extended deadline amid ongoing EBU talks about Israel’s involvement. Updated rules raising the minimum age to 18 and adjusting host eligibility for security concerns add further context for traders tracking confirmation deadlines and potential late withdrawals.
