Incumbent Republican Austin Scott faces Democratic nominee Kelly Esti in Georgia’s 8th congressional district general election on November 3, 2026. Scott has represented the solidly Republican district since 2011 and has consistently secured 64–69% of the vote in recent cycles. Both parties’ primaries concluded in May with Scott running unopposed and Esti prevailing narrowly over her opponent, leaving the general-election matchup unchanged. Nonpartisan ratings classify the seat as safe or solid Republican, reflecting its partisan composition, fundraising patterns, and absence of competitive challengers. Trader consensus at 99.2% for an outright first-round majority therefore tracks the district’s structural and historical margins. Late developments capable of altering the outcome remain limited to an unforeseen scandal, candidate health event, or dramatic national political shift before Election Day.
