Incumbent Letitia James maintains a commanding position heading into the November 3, 2026, New York attorney general general election, with traders assigning her an 81% implied probability of victory. Both major-party primaries concluded uncontested in June, clearing the path for James on the Democratic and Working Families lines and former federal prosecutor Saritha Komatireddy on the Republican and Conservative lines. New York’s longstanding Democratic tilt, James’s incumbency advantages, and her office’s recent enforcement actions on consumer protection, wage violations, and public safety contribute to her lead. A Siena poll from early August showed James at 54% to Komatireddy’s 36%, underscoring the gap that shapes current market pricing despite the challenger’s prosecutorial background.
