Salma Ewing enters the ITF W15 Los Angeles main draw as the clear favorite against Maria Aytoyan, reflecting her higher WTA ranking near 735 compared to Aytoyan’s position outside the top 1400. Ewing has competed regularly at W35 and W100 levels this spring, including recent qualifying wins and main-draw appearances on hard courts, while Aytoyan has posted strong results in lower-tier W15 events, highlighted by consecutive victories in Lakewood. Both players are Americans facing each other for the first time on outdoor hard courts, with the match scheduled for June 11. Ewing’s greater experience at slightly higher prize-money tournaments and recent match volume on the surface provide the primary edges reflected in trader pricing, though Aytoyan’s form in similar conditions keeps the contest competitive.
