Szymon Kielan and Andrew Paulson, a Polish-Czech combination ranked near the top 120 in doubles, advanced via walkover in the round of 16 but lack extensive experience on this surface at the Challenger level. Finn Bass and Anthony Genov progressed by beating Basic/Molchanov earlier in the week and hold a slight edge in recent match play on clay.
