Official forecasts from Malaysia's meteorological service project a maximum of 34°C in Kuala Lumpur on September 21 under clear, rain-free conditions, aligning with the market's emphasis on 33°C and 34°C as the leading outcomes. Recent model runs show stable atmospheric patterns with light winds and moderate humidity typical of the inter-monsoon period, limiting extreme heat or cooling. Historical September baselines in the region average 32–34°C, providing context for why lower or higher thresholds carry lower implied probabilities. Traders appear to weigh the narrow forecast spread and limited day-to-day variability, though final observed highs remain subject to microscale variations and potential late model adjustments before resolution.
