Anchisa Chanta enters this ITF W35 Taipei hard-court encounter as the clear favorite against qualifier Vivian Yang, reflecting her superior WTA ranking near 426 and stronger recent ITF results on the surface. The Thai player has posted consistent wins in Asian events this season, including strong showings in W50 and W100 hard-court draws, while maintaining a solid win rate against comparable opposition. Yang, a New Zealand player with a much lower ranking around 1160 and limited professional match volume, reached the main draw via qualifying but faces a significant step up in competition level. Surface familiarity and Chanta’s greater experience in three-set ITF battles on home-region hard courts shape the primary drivers of current market positioning, with any late injuries or fatigue from the qualifier’s path representing the main variables that could influence the outcome.
