Both the Minnesota Twins and Boston Red Sox enter their upcoming three-game series at Fenway Park with sub-.500 records, the Twins holding a slight edge in the AL Central standings while the Red Sox sit near the bottom of the AL East. Pitching depth remains a concern for both clubs, as the Twins have placed multiple starters on the injured list with elbow and pectoral issues, forcing reliance on the bullpen, while the Red Sox continue to monitor key arms sidelined by shoulder and elbow inflammation. Recent form shows inconsistent offense for each side, with the Twins generating more runs per game but struggling on the road. Home-field advantage at Fenway could influence late-inning outcomes, particularly if weather or bullpen fatigue plays a role in the tight matchup.
