This market will resolve according to the person who is appointed as the next permanent manager of the Philadelphia Phillies. If no permanent manager is appointed by January 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, the market will resolve to "Other." Appointments of 'interim,' 'caretaker,' or other non-permanent managers will not impact this market's resolution. An announcement of a new permanent manager's appointment before this market's close date will immediately resolve this market to the corresponding option, regardless of when the announced appointment goes into effect. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Philadelphia Phillies; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Trader consensus on the next permanent Philadelphia Phillies manager remains tightly contested, with A.J. Ellis, Alex Cora, Daniel Descalso, and Brad Ausmus clustered around 45-47% implied probabilities, reflecting a deep pool of experienced candidates following Rob Thomson's April 28 firing amid a 9-19 start. Interim manager Don Mattingly, now at 42.5%, has sparked an 8-9 win streak in recent games, boosting his internal candidacy as bench coach and son of GM Preston Mattingly, yet front office discussions with two-time World Series champion Alex Cora signal offseason ambitions for a proven skipper. No interviews or commitments reported in the past two weeks keeps the race fluid, weighing clubhouse familiarity against big-name pedigree and roster health for a 2027 title push.
