Recent statements from Myspace owners Tim and Chris Vanderhook in the 2026 documentary "Myspace" confirm plans to relaunch the platform as an antidote to algorithmic fatigue, emphasizing customizable profiles, music focus, and nostalgia-driven features. However, they provided no timeline, citing only that they are "waiting for the right time" after a prior unsuccessful 2013 effort. With the year more than halfway through and no official release, user milestones, or platform updates announced, traders assign an 84% implied probability to no relaunch occurring in 2026. Key upcoming catalysts include any firm launch window or Viant Technology announcements, though competition from established platforms and execution risks continue to weigh on sentiment.

This market will resolve to "Yes" if Myspace is relaunched between market creation and December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No".
A qualifying relaunch is defined as the launch of a materially new or substantially redesigned version of the Myspace platform or service that is officially presented as a relaunch, revival, return, comeback, or new version of Myspace by Myspace or its owners.
The relaunch must be live and publicly accessible, including via open beta or open rolling waitlist signups. A closed beta or any form of private access will not suffice.
The continued availability of the existing Myspace website, ordinary updates or redesigns to the existing platform, the restoration or addition of individual features, or an announcement of plans to relaunch Myspace will not alone qualify.
The release must be either clearly defined and publicly announced as being accessible to the general public or otherwise made publicly accessible and explicitly labeled within the company’s official website (Myspace.com), an official Myspace subdomain, another official URL, an official mobile application or similar. Labeling errors, placeholder text, or version names displayed on the website that do not correspond to a model that is actually accessible to the general public will not qualify.
The primary resolution source will be the Myspace platform or service, as well as official information from Myspace and its owners, however a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.
