David Njoku’s agreement to a one-year contract with the Los Angeles Chargers, worth up to $8 million, has anchored trader consensus at 94.4% implied probability for the 2026 season. The veteran tight end departed the Cleveland Browns after nine campaigns, including a Pro Bowl selection in 2023, following his post-June 1 release designation. Chargers officials cited his receiving production and route-running fit within their offense as key factors in the signing, which occurred after an in-person visit earlier this month. While the deal positions Njoku to open training camp with Los Angeles, late roster cuts, an injury settlement, or a midseason trade could still alter his destination before the regular-season opener.
