Dricus Du Plessis’s unanimous decision win over Kamaru Usman in the July 2026 UFC Oklahoma City main event has repositioned the former middleweight champion for another title opportunity after his August 2025 loss to Khamzat Chimaev. Sean Strickland, who reclaimed the belt via split decision over Chimaev in May, remains the most frequently discussed opponent given their two prior meetings, though the UFC has not confirmed any matchup. Nassourdine Imavov’s strong win streak and Chimaev’s public interest in a rematch add further layers to the division’s queue, while other ranked middleweights compete for positioning. With no official announcement and multiple viable paths for the promotion, trader probabilities reflect a fragmented field where recent form, prior head-to-head results, and matchmaking priorities keep several outcomes in close contention.
