She secured her first tour-level clay victory earlier in May against Martina Trevisan in Rome and holds a head-to-head edge after defeating Shuai Zhang in February on hard courts. Zhang, the 37-year-old veteran ranked 73rd, enters with a 9-12 record for 2026 and limited success on clay historically, where her movement has shown vulnerability amid inconsistent form.
