Kenin continues her post-injury comeback with mixed early-season results after a first-round exit at the Australian Open, while Selekhmeteva arrives with stronger recent clay-court form, including wins in Madrid, Rome, La Bisbal, and Oeiras. The surface favors Selekhmeteva’s current consistency and baseline game, though Kenin’s Grand Slam pedigree and overall experience create realistic upset potential in a best-of-three match. No significant injuries or withdrawals have been reported for either player.
