The Milwaukee Brewers enter Target Field as NL Central contenders with a strong .556 win percentage, averaging 5.19 runs per game, facing a middling Minnesota Twins squad at .410 overall amid AL Central struggles. Probable starters Chad Patrick for Milwaukee and Joe Ryan for Minnesota highlight a matchup favoring the Brewers' hotter bats, especially with Target Field's partly cloudy, warm conditions primed for home runs. Twins rotation reeling from Pablo López's season-ending torn UCL and multiple IL stints including Garrett Acton and Cody Laweryson, while Brewers manage minor absences like Brandon Lockridge on the 10-day IL. Recent head-to-head tilts show Brewers dominance (13-7 last 20), with home-ice rest advantage for Minnesota potentially key in this interleague series opener.
