The crowded field for Arequipa's October 4, 2026, mayoral election features more than 15 admitted lists and no dominant frontrunner, producing closely matched market prices among leading contenders such as Ricardo Alfredo Ramírez del Villar Llosa, Lizbeth Zavala Vilca, and Javier Antonio Onofre Ccama. Fragmentation across regional movements, emphasis on local priorities including infrastructure and governance, and limited early polling keep probabilities balanced. Upcoming candidate debates, official endorsements, or shifts in voter turnout patterns within Arequipa province could widen gaps by clarifying preferences ahead of the single-round vote.
