Wang Chung-ming, the Kuomintang incumbent magistrate of Lienchiang County since 2022, holds an 84% implied probability in the market ahead of the November 2026 local elections. Traders assign this position due to his incumbency advantages, prior deputy experience, and the county's established KMT voting patterns in magistrate races. Potential rivals, including Tsao Erh-yuan at 7% and Tsao Erh-chang below 1%, remain distant amid limited reported challenges or alternative nominations. July 2026 KMT leadership rallies across counties reinforced party unity in this race without indicating shifts. Structural factors such as organizational support and the November voting timeline underpin current consensus, though primaries or late entries could still affect the field.
