Hsu Shu-hua, the incumbent Kuomintang magistrate of Nantou County, holds a commanding 90.5% implied probability in the November 28, 2026 local election market, reflecting trader consensus on her re-election prospects under Taiwan's simple plurality system. As the sitting county executive since 2022, she benefits from established name recognition, administrative record, and KMT organizational support in a county where the party has maintained strength. Wen Shih-cheng trails at 8.5%, with other listed candidates showing limited market traction. Potential shifts could stem from late candidate registration developments, polling shifts among key voter blocs, or unexpected campaign events before the November vote, though no major recent disruptions have altered the frontrunner's position.
