Official National Weather Service forecasts for Houston on September 21 project an overnight low in the upper 70s, with mostly clear skies, light variable winds, and high humidity from Gulf moisture limiting radiative cooling. Persistent high pressure and a weak frontal remnant have kept recent daily minima in the mid-to-upper 70s, above the September climatological average near 72°F. Model consensus shows minimal temperature spread overnight, though slight variations in cloud cover or localized sea-breeze effects could shift the exact minimum by a degree or two. These conditions explain the tight market clustering around 74–79°F outcomes, reflecting trader assessment of forecast uncertainty within that narrow range.
