Recent opinion polls for the 6 September 2026 Sachsen-Anhalt Landtag election show the SPD consistently ahead of the BSW, with the SPD at 6-7% and the BSW at 4-5%. This gap has held across multiple surveys from INSA, Infratest dimap, and pollytix through mid-August. The SPD benefits from its established state-level organization and role in the incumbent CDU-SPD-FDP coalition, while the BSW, contesting the state parliament for the first time, draws from a narrower base and risks falling below the 5% threshold. With roughly two weeks until election day, trader consensus at 95.9% for the SPD reflects these stable polling differentials. Late shifts in turnout or last-minute campaign dynamics remain the primary variables that could narrow or reverse the margin.
