**Recent forecasts indicate a moderating trend for Seattle on September 11, 2026, with models converging on a high in the mid-to-upper 60s°F amid increasing cloud cover and light moisture.** After several days of mostly sunny conditions and highs in the low-to-mid 70s, an approaching weather system is expected to bring mostly cloudy to overcast skies, southerly winds, and a chance of light drizzle or showers. This setup favors reduced solar heating and a marine air influence that caps daytime warming. Official guidance and ensemble outputs point to peak readings near 67–69°F at Sea-Tac or downtown stations, aligning with the tightly clustered market probabilities around those bins (68–69°F at 20%, 66–67°F at 19.5%, 70–71°F at 19.5%). Key differentiating factors include the precise timing and extent of cloud build-up, which can shift the high by a few degrees depending on whether partial clearing occurs during peak heating hours, and minor variations in wind direction or boundary-layer moisture that affect how much Pacific air intrudes. Historical climatology shows a normal high near 72°F for the date, but the current pattern deviates cooler due to the synoptic change. With resolution two days away, updated National Weather Service model runs and short-range guidance will likely tighten the distribution further as the event approaches.

The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=ksea
This market will resolve off of the Hourly Data provided using the "Show Hourly Data" button.
If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source.
In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket.
To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to US Units w/ kts" button until the relevant table displays °F.
This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first.
The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Fahrenheit (eg, 21°F). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
