Jannik Sinner stands as the dominant favorite to claim the 2026 French Open title, with trader consensus reflecting his status as world No. 1 and strong recent form on clay. Carlos Alcaraz’s withdrawal due to a lingering right wrist injury—confirmed in late April after he skipped the Rome Masters—has removed the two-time defending champion from the field, shifting implied probabilities sharply toward Sinner. Alexander Zverev and Novak Djokovic rank as the next most prominent challengers based on their rankings and prior Grand Slam experience, though both trail significantly. The upcoming tournament, set to begin May 24 at Roland Garros, features a deep field where factors like recent match results, surface-specific preparation, and physical fitness will shape outcomes in the absence of the usual top rivalry.
