Iga Świątek holds the edge in the 2026 French Open market thanks to her unmatched clay-court record and recent Rome resurgence, where she has rediscovered her signature heavy topspin forehand and consistent baseline pressure after an uneven early-season start. Aryna Sabalenka sits close behind on the strength of her world No. 1 ranking, powerful serving, and strong hard-court momentum that has translated into competitive clay results this spring. Coco Gauff’s defending-champion status, Elena Rybakina’s Stuttgart title, and Mirra Andreeva’s rising consistency keep the field tightly bunched, as several top players enter with recent titles or deep runs on the surface. Historical patterns on red clay favor specialists like Świątek, yet the depth of current form among the top five creates realistic paths for multiple contenders to challenge through the two-week draw.
