In Georgia’s 4th congressional district, a heavily Democratic seat with a Cook PVI of D+27, incumbent Hank Johnson secured the Democratic nomination on May 19, 2026, with 79.3% of the primary vote against two challengers, avoiding any runoff. Republican nominee James Duffie ran unopposed in his primary. The district’s consistent partisan lean, Johnson’s prior 51-point general-election margin in 2024, and multiple nonpartisan ratings classifying the race as Safe or Solid Democratic underpin trader expectations that the November 3 general election will produce a clear majority winner. No significant late-cycle developments have altered this positioning ahead of election day.
