Iowa's 1st congressional district features a November 2026 rematch between Republican incumbent Mariannette Miller-Meeks and Democratic challenger Christina Bohannan, who has narrowed margins in successive cycles and secured her party's nomination after a June primary victory. The seat, rated a toss-up by analysts, saw Miller-Meeks prevail by under 1,000 votes in 2024 amid a competitive environment that includes Davenport and Iowa City. Bohannan's established name recognition, prior legislative experience, and strong primary performance have supported trader consensus favoring a Democratic outcome, while the incumbent's primary strength and the district's modest Republican lean provide counterbalancing factors ahead of the general election.
