Kris Kobach, the Republican incumbent seeking a second term, holds a modest edge in trader consensus for the November 3, 2026, Kansas Attorney General election, reflecting his 2022 narrow victory and the state's Republican lean. His unopposed August primary win and record on consumer protection settlements, gun rights enforcement, and immigration cases bolster positioning, while Democratic challenger Chris Mann, also unopposed in his primary, has closed ground through stronger recent fundraising and attacks framing the office around rural law enforcement support and fraud prevention. National forecasters have shifted the race toward a lean-Republican rating amid midterm dynamics, keeping probabilities tight as both candidates compete with comparable cash on hand and outside spending expected to intensify before Election Day.
