The BC Lions dropped a 41-27 decision to Hamilton in Week 3, hampered by multiple players on the six-game injured list including offensive linemen and receivers, while Nathan Rourke and the offence failed to sustain drives against a strong Tiger-Cats defence. Calgary, coming off a 40-37 double-overtime loss to Saskatchewan, has dealt with its own depth issues on the defensive line but returns players like Jaylon Hutchings; the Stampeders’ recent form showed late-game resilience but ongoing challenges containing mobile quarterbacks and sustaining drives. Roster health, early-season adjustments, and the neutral-site setting are the dominant variables shaping trader views ahead of kickoff.
