Gerwyn Price enters the New Zealand Darts Masters quarter-final as the clear favorite, backed by his world ranking of fourth and stronger recent results across the PDC calendar. The Welshman captured the 2026 European Darts Grand Prix title and posted consistent high averages in Players Championship events and the World Matchplay, demonstrating reliable finishing and scoring under pressure. Damon Heta, ranked around twentieth, has shown flashes with Players Championship finals appearances but exits early in major televised events, including a third-round World Championship loss. Their limited head-to-head record includes a Heta victory earlier in 2026, yet Price’s superior experience, tournament pedigree, and current form underpin trader consensus around an 82% implied probability for the Welshman. No injury concerns have been reported for either player.
