Republican nominee Greg Dolezal holds the leading position in trader consensus for the November 2026 Georgia lieutenant governor race, reflecting the state's recent Republican performance in statewide contests and the party's structural advantages in Senate and executive races. Both Dolezal and Democratic nominee Josh McLaurin secured their nominations in June 2026 runoffs after advancing from May primaries, with Dolezal defeating former Senate President Pro Tempore John F. Kennedy and McLaurin prevailing over former Sen. Nabilah Parkes. July polling showed a close general election contest, with margins under 5 points in available surveys and notable undecided shares. Key factors include Dolezal's emphasis on election integrity, tax policy, and conservative priorities alongside McLaurin's focus on healthcare expansion and cost-of-living issues. The election remains two months away, leaving room for shifts from campaign developments or turnout patterns.
