Trader consensus heavily favors a 64-65°F high on September 21 in Chicago, reflecting National Weather Service forecasts and model runs projecting a peak near 65°F amid mostly cloudy skies, northeast winds of 15-20 mph, and a morning shower chance. This cooler-than-normal outcome stems from a persistent onshore flow and lingering moisture that has suppressed daytime warming below the 73.9°F seasonal average. Recent observations confirm the pattern, with Sunday's high limited to the upper 60s under similar conditions. Minor adjustments could arise from afternoon clearing or wind shifts, though current guidance shows strong agreement on mid-60s readings with low risk of exceeding 67°F or falling below 62°F.
